Meranti is the wood that is used to build the side and back of the body. It has 21 frets in total made from rosewood and the small hand friendly neck is made from nato wood. Compare to a full size guitar with better tone and projection, it is actually sounds good for such a small guitar and provides enough volume for practice purposes and for indoor group jam.

Fender is one of the most famous brand when we talk about guitars but hey! You don’t have to be an expert on playing guitar to buy one of their guitars. It is primarily made for students, but it has proven to be a good grab and go travel instrument for advanced players who are always moving around.

MA-1 is a child friendly guitar that offers a good quality sound, style and play ability. Just don’t look at its build cause with the price entry level, you won’t find any solid wood here. The compact body is very comfortable with small players specially kids. The neck is also made from nato wood and it has a total of 18 frets and the fret board is made from rosewood.

Fact: When it comes to sound, kids never really care how good the sound as long as they can play the chord and strum the guitar. But I assure you that MA-1 regardless of the build, have a good light sound and much more focus on the mid range sound with a well-balanced soft sound. It is good to use for practice and for family bonding. I would say that looks does not really matter but what matters most is what is inside and that is the sound.
